The correct loading of the truck is the responsibility of the driver and, if neglected, can lead to accidents, unplanned visits to the workshop, fines and unexpected offloading, as well as it being an unfair practice. Especially in the case of partial deliveries, the distribution of the load can be very difficult, since it changes at each stop. The vehicles centre of gravity shifts and the safety of the load is no longer guaranteed. In the workshop, on the road or at the customers premises: with HAENNI portable weighing systems, trucks can be weighed wherever they are.

There are several reasons for the need to weigh vehicles with special dimensions: to obtain the weights for the required transport permit, to ensure that the truck has been loaded according to the  loading plan and for optimal load distribution. It is crucial for the driver to ensure that the hydraulic circuits are working correctly, to determine the centre of gravity and to guarantee an optimal load distribution on the vehicle. HAENNI has systems for measuring the weight of vehicles with all possible axle configurations on site.

The SOLAS convention requires the shipper to provide the Verified Gross Weight (VGM) of the container on the shipping documents as determined by a verified device in accordance with government regulations. HAENNI portable scales are certified to OIML R 76 Class IIII and provide the shipper and carrier with an immediate solution to verify the gross mass (KGs) of ISO sea (maritime) containers at the point of collection and delivery to the port. Axle and total weights are provided to avoid dangerous and illegal overloading. They can be used as a portable or semi-permanent installation on a container hub.
